The Double Helix

I recently designed this repeat pattern for the cover of the new Folio Society edition of The Double Helix by James D. Watson. Maybe not light, holiday reading...

So, I'm curious... do you read the entire book before deciding how to design the cover? Or just part of it, or just a summary?

I definitely didn't read this one! Its a very serious science book. Sometimes I read the whole book, sometimes a bit of it, sometimes a summary- it depends from book to book.

Wow - I've loved seeing all of your recent published work! This book cover is gorgeous, and the illustrations for the children's book are lovely. Congratulations.

VERY nice Alice... think your abstract work is becoming more and more yours... nice to see it on bookcloth, processed in this way
